In Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and other 21 cities, Consumers Association and China Consumer Newspapers, a total of 22 consumer rights protection agencies have recently cooperated with the Beijing Institute of Labor Protection, the authoritative organization, for the first time on the basis of the passenger car issued on March 1, 2012. The Guidelines for Internal Air Quality Evaluation, carried out the indoor air quality comparison test activities, and released the "Automobile Indoor Air Quality Comparison Test Report." According to the report, the air quality of passenger cars in the market currently sold is generally good, with an attainment rate of 93.02%, of which the best performers are the Volvo S60, FAW Toyota RAV4 and Beijing Hyundai ix35. Ratings, accounting for 18.60%.
Since mid-August, a number of consumer associations have joined the Beijing Institute of Labor Protection Science and Science, which lasted for more than three months, and conducted comparative tests on the indoor air quality of automobiles. The comparative test car took the form of public solicitation, and detected 43 active models of the 25 car brands purchased by consumers within 2 months, which almost included mainstream vehicles from the low end to the high end in the current automobile market. The testers tested the concentration of volatile organic compounds in eight common types of benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, styrene, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acrolein in 43 models. The standard for this test is based on the “Guide to Air Quality Assessment for Passenger Vehicles†published by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on March 1 this year.
The report shows that in this comparison test, independent brands have subverted people's consistent views in this evaluation. Among the 6 self-owned brands under inspection, 5 independent brands such as Huachen Junjie FSV, Changan Yuexiang, and Geely Emgrand performed well. The concentration of volatile organic compounds in the interior of only three models exceeds the standard at the time of the initial inspection. Excess VOCs are formaldehyde or acetaldehyde. The national standard requires the concentration of formaldehyde to be ≤0.10 mg/m3, and the concentration of acetaldehyde to be ≤0.05 mg/m3. The formaldehyde detection value of the detected Great Wall H6 was 0.344 mg/m3, and the acetaldehyde detection values of Dongfeng Honda Civic and Dongfeng Peugeot 508 were 0.054 mg/m3 and 0.068 mg/m3, respectively. In addition to the three vehicles exceeding the standard, although other models have detected formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, they are within the concentration range required by the national standards, and almost all other six volatile organic compounds are not detected. The compliance rate is 93.02%. . Subsequently, the organizer tested the new car of the same model according to the re-inspection applications of the three non-compliance companies. The results showed that the rechecked vehicles met the standards.
