The purification of diatomaceous earth is also often carried out by chemical beneficiation method, that is, adding sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and auxiliary chemicals to the slurry to remove impurities such as iron and aluminum.
The diatomite beneficiation processing process is usually: raw ore → one section of grinding and drying → two sections of grinding and drying → pre-classification → cyclone separation → powdery product (can be used as final product) → calcination into rotary kiln (or calcination with flux) → Grinding cooling → sorting and grading → filler grade or filter aid grade products.
Since many fields utilize the porosity of the diatomite silicon shell structure, it is necessary to carefully select the crushing and grinding equipment during grinding to maximize the protection of the intact structure and unique shape of the skeleton and avoid secondary fracture.
Broken grinding equipment: commonly used Raymond mill and jet mill, wet processing also uses a scrubber.
Calcination drying equipment: Rotary kiln and rotary dryer are often used.

The diatomite ore processed by the company contains SiO 2 89.0%, Al 2 O 3 2.57%, Fe 2 O 3 1.20%, CaO 0.24%, and other impurities 6.99%. The product is diatom filter aid 100~1 200. In addition to natural dry products, the chemical composition of all calcined diatomaceous earth: SiO 2 89.7% ~ 91.1%, Al 2 O 3 4.7% ~ 4.8%, Fe 2 O 3 1.3% ~ 1.4%, CaO 0.44%, burnout The amount is 0.2% to 0.5%.
