Since the beginning of summer in 2011, the production line of China Jinggong Automobile has been in full swing: in the passenger workshop, the first 50 SKD spare parts packages for Myanmar customers' 500 tractors for expeditionary tractors were boxed; in the new product shop, the Thai customers ordered the assembly of South Korea. The Doosan GL11K right-hand tractor for natural gas engines and the right-hand tractor equipped with a 380-horsepower engine from Weichai customers are also stepping up time to complete the commissioning.
It is understood that in 2008, Jinggong Motor began to enter the Vietnamese market in bulk. In 2010, Jinggong Automotive opened markets in ASEAN countries such as Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand. Among them, 22 domestic longest-laden trucks successfully entered the Burmese army, laying the foundation for subsequent large-scale orders.
In April 2011, Jinggong Automotive and Myanmar reached an agreement on the negotiation of technical support, price, and after-sales service for exporting the intensive trucks to Myanmar, and signed an export contract for 500 tractors, which was delivered in batches using SKD method. The delivery of the first 50 vehicles was completed before the end of May 2011.
At present, the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has been fully completed and is in a period of rapid development in ASEAN countries. The demand for commercial vehicles is huge, which provides Chinese auto companies with a good opportunity to explore the ASEAN market.
