Recently, Parker Bestobell Marine, a leading supplier of marine cryogenic valves, has introduced a compact version of the Floating Isolation Valve (FLIV).
 
It is reported that this compact float valve has a diameter of 150mm and a height of only 600. It is specially developed for the LNG carrier secondary monitoring system for shipyards.
Duncan Gaskin, president of Parker Bestobell Marine's sales, said, "I am very pleased to introduce this new compact float valve. Our original float valve has helped us gain a large market share in the field of LNG carriers. This latest version The float valve will further meet customer needs."
This patented Parker Bestobell Marine float valve is typically installed on top of the cargo hold of the LNG carrier to isolate the pressure and buoyancy of the cargo hold and prevent potential dangerous gas evaporation in the cargo hold.
Parker Bestobell Marine's original float valve was developed 10 years ago with diameters of 300mm and 200mm. The first float valve was installed in an LNG carrier in 2007 and has been used in more than 120 similar vessels to date.

A load moment indicator is an instrument used in determining whether a certain load could be carried by the Tower Crane or not.
