China's "Eleventh Five-Year" coal chemical demonstration project, the first production project. According to industry sources, the first coal indirect oil production project is safe, stable, and full-load operation, which verifies that China's coal indirect liquefaction technology with complete independent intellectual property rights is mature and reliable, and is a technological advancement and talent cultivation for the coal-to-oil industry in China. The accumulation of experience has laid the foundation.
On March 27, 2009, Yitai 160,000 tons/year coal-to-liquid project produced China's first barrel of qualified product oil. Yitai Coal-to-oil Company has continuously improved the equipment and optimized the working conditions of the equipment to solve a large number of difficult technical problems. In 2009, the company produced a total of 24,400 tons of coal-based oil products and chemical products. In 2010, it produced 96,700 tons, and in 2011 it produced 151,700 tons.
Liu Shangli, general manager of Yitai Coal-to-oil Company, told reporters that after technological transformation, the company reached its design capacity for the first time in early December 2012. As of December 31, the company cumulatively produced 176,600 tons of coal-based oil products and chemical products in 2012. Each ton of coal used to produce 3.64 tons of coal and consumed 820 kilowatt-hours of electricity, all indicators were at or below the design consumption target. Liu Shangli stated that Yitai 160,000 tons/year coal-to-liquid project is the most complete independent factory for indirect liquefaction of coal. The production of the project not only proves that China's autonomous Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology is mature, but also indicates that the coal gasification and synthesis are matched. Gas purification, oil processing and other processes are also mature. In the next step, the company will further technologically transform the installation, reduce consumption, improve efficiency, and move forward toward profitable high-quality operation.
It is understood that the main products of Yitai coal-to-oil project are Fischer-Tropsch diesel, naphtha, liquid paraffin, and liquefied gas. Its diesel products are clean fuels with low sulfur content, carbon residue, ash content, and low chroma. The cetane number is greater than 70 and can be adjusted between No. 0 and -35 diesel fuels. After experimental monitoring, the exhaust emissions of diesel vehicles using its oil products meet the Euro V standards. The naphtha product has a linear paraffin content of more than 90%, a very low sulfur content and metal content, and is an excellent raw material for the production of olefins and aromatic-free solvent oils.
According to industry experts such as Tang Hongqing, technical consultant of China Synthetic Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., China's first coal indirect oil production project is running at full capacity, indicating that China can independently design and build coal-to-oil projects in the future, and then expand production, which has significant strategic significance.
