At the end of November, four technological transformation projects conducted by Ganzhou Dahua with respect to the TDI nitration system, hydrogenation system, actinic system, and tar processing plant were identified through the results organized by the Hebei Science and Technology Department. The application of these four achievements has increased the localization rate of the TDI devices in Zhangzhou Dahua by 20%. In the first 11 months alone, about 27,000 tons of TDI will be produced, which is expected to exceed 30,000 tons by the end of the year. Since the beginning of this year, the long-term safe and stable operation of the TDI plant in Cangzhou Dahua has lasted for 70 days, setting a record for the long-term operation of similar devices in China.

The original nitrification washing system of the Dahua TDI plant in Cangzhou brought more water during the washing process, which reduced the quality of the DNT intermediate product DNT and caused a great impact on the subsequent production. To this end, Cangzhou Dahua added a fourth washing device based on the three-stage scrubbing of the original nitration scrubbing system, which improved the scrubbing capacity and improved the DNT purity from 91% to 97%. The original hydrogenation reactor of the TDI unit has defects such as excessive circulating material amount and many side reactions. Zhuozhou Dahua transformed the hydrogenation reactor from the jet-type reactor with an out-of-substitution heat exchanger into a reactor with good heat-reserving heat transfer effect, which improved product yield and suppressed the formation of by-products.
After the expansion of the TDI plant in Chuzhou Dahua, the separation capacity of the original photofinishing refining system could not meet the needs of an annual output of 30,000 tons of TDI equipment. The Tackling Task Force recalculated the separation system and completely reformed the internals of the tower to improve the separation of distillation. The efficiency increases the TDI purity to 99.8%. In addition, Cangzhou Dahua also changed the original thin film evaporator to a more advanced tar recovery unit, which increased the TDI recovery rate from 40% to 99%.
