Notice of the National Development and Reform Commission on Issues Related to Increasing Electricity Prices:
The development and reform commissions, price bureaus, power companies, national grid companies, and China Southern Power Grid Corporations of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government:
In order to ease the operational difficulties of power companies and ensure the power supply, after research, it was decided to appropriately increase the sales price standards for power grids across the country. The relevant issues are hereby notified as follows:
1. Starting from July 1, 2008 (copy of electricity), the provincial power grids outside the Tibet Autonomous Region have increased the average selling price by 0.025 yuan per kilowatt-hour.
Second, in order to reduce the effect of tariff adjustment, the price of electricity for residential use, the price of electricity for agricultural production and fertilizer production will not be adjusted for the time being, and the prices of counties (cities) affected by severe earthquake disasters in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu will not be adjusted.
Third, the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, the power grid sales price level and related power generation companies to increase the price of on-grid tariffs, will be announced separately.
Fourth, power grid companies and power generation companies must strictly implement the national tariff policy and must not arbitrarily increase or reduce the level of electricity prices stipulated by the state. At the same time, we must strengthen production scheduling, ensure normal production and operation, and ensure the supply of electricity.
5. The competent price departments at all levels should strengthen the supervision and inspection of the implementation of electricity prices, crack down on various activities that disrupt the market order, ensure the implementation of the national electricity price policy, and investigate the violation of the national electricity price policy in accordance with the law.
