Tianjin Port's Measures to Ensure the Normal Order of Iron Ore Loading and Unloading

In view of the recent concentration of iron ore ships and the near-saturation of stockpiles, Tianjin Port has taken a number of measures to strengthen the unloading and unloading operations. As of the 15th, there were 6.21 million tons of ore in the harbor, and the order of iron ore handling was normal.

Since the beginning of this year, affected by the expected increase in international iron ore prices, domestic enterprises have concentrated on the import of iron ore and stored it in large quantities in the port for a long period of time. In addition, due to factors such as the relative lack of domestic overall capacity, the iron ore in the coastal ports of the country has generally been under pressure. .

According to the introduction of Tianjin Port, Tianjin Port has taken various measures to strengthen the handling of unloading and evacuation. The first is to rationalize the ship plan, increase operational efficiency, and reduce the amount of ore ships in Hong Kong. The second is to actively organize orchestration of ore customers and railway departments, and increase the intensity of train transportation. The third is to play a role in price leverage adjustment to speed up the lifting of ore. Fourth, continue to tap the potential of ore terminals and yards, and increase the capacity of unloading and storage. The fifth is to further speed up the progress of the “Northern Mine Southward Movement” and the construction of specialized ore terminals in southern Xinjiang, improve the trade and distribution functions of the South Xinjiang bulk cargo flow center, and improve the ore comprehensive processing capacity of Tianjin Port.

Up to now, the ore-loading and discharging order in Tianjin Port has remained normal. No ore-shipping ship has been in Hong Kong in May. In the first five months of this year, Tianjin Port has completed a total of 25.99 million tons of iron ore throughput, an increase of 20% year-on-year.
