Cars are a very common thing in today's society. But for those who are not professional, the construction of the car is still very subtle. Therefore, it is not surprising that it is like what you bought a car and then asked the monk or priest to practice and re-open it. However, how much do you understand about the engine, the most important part of the car? It is no exaggeration to say that if you can understand the six parameters of the engine, then you are certainly the old driver no doubt.
Parameter one: number of cylinders
The internal combustion engine used in the general automobile engine is a reciprocating internal combustion engine. This number of cylinders means how many combustion chambers can power the engine. The number of commonly used passenger car's cylinders is often used in 3-cylinder, 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines. The number of cylinders directly affects the smoothness of the engine.
Parameter two: displacement
This displacement refers to the sum of the volume of all cylinders of the engine. That is, the aforementioned volume of the combustion chamber. The factors that determine this displacement are the bore diameter of the cylinder and the stroke of the piston.
Parameter three: maximum power
During the running of the car, the speed of the engine and the amount of fuel supply will affect the output power. Therefore, this maximum power refers to the maximum value reached by the engine at a certain speed.
Parameter four: peak torque
This torque refers to the magnitude of the torque output by the engine crankshaft at a fixed speed. Therefore, the magnitude of the peak torque is related to the magnitude of the explosive power of this engine, which is what we call the acceleration of 100 kilometers.
Parameter 5: Up power
The magnitude of the boosted power directly determines the magnitude of the maximum power output by the engine in terms of unit displacement. Rising power also directly determines the amount of fuel used.
Parameter six: compression ratio
The compression ratio directly reflects the degree of compression of the oil and gas mixture when the engine is in operation. The higher the compression ratio, the higher the kinetic energy generated. However, the compression ratio is still moderate. If it is too high, it will affect the stability of the engine during operation.
