The number of people in three days is flat

It is understood that due to weather forecast that there may be wind and rain during the Qingming period, the number of grave-sweepsees on the two days before the small holiday falls from the same period of last year, and the funeral department predicts that it will reach a peak yesterday. However, the “big explosion” did not appear yesterday. The number was basically the same as the previous two days. According to reports, on the Qingming Festival this year, the graves will be on March 31, April 1, 2, 3, 4, and on the 7th and 8th. The civil affairs department expects the 133 grave-sweeping sites in the city to receive more than 3 million grave-sweeping people.

As of yesterday, statistics from the civil affairs department showed that the number of key sweeps on the Qingming Day has reached 2.384 million. It is expected that on the 6th of this week, there will be a round of graves.

Pre-holiday sacrificial shunt

The person in charge of the Municipal Funeral Administration stated that the people sweeping away at the Babaoshan People’s Cemetery and the Futian Cemetery during the Qingming period were relatively stable, which may be related to the dispersal of time by the majority of citizens and the timing of sacrifices. In previous years, the sweeping flow of the city was mainly concentrated on the weekends and holidays before and after the Ching Ming Holidays. However, from this year's statistics, the week before the Ching Ming Holidays, that is, from March 26 to March 30, the city's 133 Every day, the number of sweeping sites at the graveyard is about 200,000. The flow of people is slightly higher and evenly distributed.

Cemetery open delay

According to briefings, in order to make it easier for everyone to correct the mistakes, various cemeteries in the city have introduced a series of measures to extend the opening time of cemeteries. The Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery has introduced advance bookings and 24-hour reception ceremonies from March 24 to April 8. The family members must make an appointment by calling in advance.

In addition, the Babaoshan People’s Cemetery reminded the public that about 30% of the cemeteries in the cemetery had exceeded the 20-year period of use. Renewal of the expired cemetery will be carried out in batches after the Ching Ming Festival. Relatives can consult and bring relevant documents to the cemetery at any time. For the renewal of the lease, the staff will still keep the cemetery properly and provide daily service before renewal.
