An oscilloscope is a widely used electronic measuring instrument. It can convert electric signals that are invisible to the naked eye into visible images, making it easier for people to study the changing process of various electrical phenomena. The oscilloscope uses a narrow electron beam consisting of high-speed electrons to create a tiny spot on a screen coated with a fluorescent material. Under the action of the signal under test, the electron beam is like a pen tip, which can depict the curve of the instantaneous value of the measured signal on the screen. Using an oscilloscope, you can observe the waveform curves of various signal amplitudes over time, and you can also use it to test various power levels, such as voltage, current, frequency, phase difference, amplitude, and so on.
Oscilloscope use steps:
(1) Pre-adjustment: Anti-clockwise rotation of the luminance knob in the end, the vertical and horizontal displacements go to the middle, the attenuation is placed at the highest level, and the scan is placed in the “external X positionâ€;
(2) Re-open the power supply, and wait for a minute or two for warm-up after the indicator light is on. Then perform related operations;
(3) Adjust the brightness first, then adjust the focus, then adjust the horizontal and vertical displacement so that the bright spot is in the center of the appropriate area;
(4) adjustment scan, scan fine-tuning and X gain, observation scan;
(5) Pull out the external X file to the proper position of the scanning range file, observe the voltage waveform in the vertical direction provided by the machine according to the sine and cosine law;
(6) Apply the voltage to be studied from the Y input and ground to the oscilloscope. Adjust each step to the appropriate position. Observe the voltage waveform (time-varying image). The starting point begins from the positive half or negative half.
(7) If you want to observe the vertical offset of bright spots (such as when applied with a dc voltage), you can adjust the scan to the “external X†position.
