The power transmission lines and water supply pipes of the 4 township water supply stations (plants) of Xiaoxi, Guansheng and others were damaged by floods, causing more than 52,000 town residents to have difficulty in drinking water.

After the disaster took place, the water department of Guang'an District immediately withdrew professional technicians to go deep into the disaster-stricken villages in Qujiang townships, thoroughly investigate the damaged drinking water facilities, and immediately started drinking water safety emergency plans. Some people who lack water need to find water, take water from high platforms, and borrow water from neighboring villages, as well as fire trucks and other emergency methods to solve urgent problems. The wells that flooded and inundated were actively organized to dredge, wash, disinfect, and reuse them. For some wells that had collapsed and could not be used, the well drilling construction team was relocated to drill wells, and the pipelines damaged by the centralized water supply project were The machinery and equipment were repaired and replaced, and the original water source centralized water supply project that could not be immediately accessed due to flooding was damaged. The backup water source was immediately used to ensure the drinking water safety of the affected people.

Up to now, 2,284 wells have been rehabilitated in Guang'an District, and 11,723 people in 2,723 households in 131 villages along the river have been drinking safe and healthy well water, and 49,000 residents in the town have resumed drinking safe and reliable tap water.
