Parts giants expand production, energy saving and innovation become hot spots

Foglia, the world’s sixth-largest auto parts supplier, is accelerating its business in China. At the Shanghai International Auto Show, Yan Desheng said that in 2016 it plans to achieve sales revenue of 3.3 billion euros in China, which will double compared to 2012. In 2012, Foglia's total sales in China reached 1.5 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 25%, and the growth rate far exceeded the 8% increase in the Chinese auto market in the same year. At this auto show, Faurecia demonstrated its green automotive materials and technology, such as heat recovery exhaust manifold (EHRM), a new generation of high-end chairs, and automotive interiors. Among them, the heat recovery exhaust manifold (EHRM) specially designed for hybrid vehicles can effectively combine the heat recovery function with the exhaust manifold. This technology has been used in the North American market for Ford Fusion and Ford C-MAX hybrids.

Valeo: Chinese business doubled in 2015

Facing the opportunity of China's energy-saving and emission-reduction market, Valeo launched a brand of innovation and energy-saving emission reduction. At the show, Valeo's Park4U system, electro-mechanical booster and AquaBlade wiper system were all displayed. The Park4U system is particularly interesting. Eaton Jining Plant to Expand Production Double

Competitors are making strenuous efforts, and Eaton Vehicle Group is unwilling to show weaknesses and announced its ambitious expansion plan for China. Earlier, Eaton said it will expand its production capacity in Jining, Shandong, to double the capacity to meet the growing market demand for valve and valve actuation products and technologies in China. Shandong Jining is an important base for Eaton in China. In 1993, Eaton entered the Chinese market and established the first manufacturing company in Jining.

It is understood that the Jining plant expansion project was started this year and is expected to be officially put into operation in March 2014. The plant will assemble valve and valve actuation mechanisms for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, medium and heavy truck customers in the Chinese market. At the auto show, Eaton demonstrated the UltraShift PLUS automatic transmission (AMT) and the Twin Turbo supercharger (TVS) for the latest generation of automatic transmissions. The automatic mechanical transmission technology can improve vehicle fuel economy and significantly reduce operating costs; the Twin Turbo Turbocharger (TVS) reduces emissions while improving fuel economy. In 2010, Eaton Group and Chery Automobile cooperated for the first time to introduce its supercharger technology into the Chinese market. In addition, Eaton has entered the Chinese hybrid commercial vehicle market. It has an electric oil hybrid system and a hydraulic hybrid system. More than 2,300 hybrid systems have been used in buses in Beijing, Guangzhou and other cities.
