On the same day at the social checkpoint near the Zhenjiang Vehicle Administration Office, the reporter saw more than a dozen taxis belonging to different companies to test. Drivers were discussing whether they should pay money or give cigarettes. At 1pm, the vehicle began to go online. At 1:20, a sister's taxi exhaust test failed. "The value jumps to 40 and it passes." The inspector said to the sister. However, the sister-in-law bought the two packs of Yuxi Cigarettes near the vehicle management office as the “instruction point” by the inspectors, and the tail gas detection passed smoothly.

According to reports, after the Spring Festival this year, the Director of Zhenjiang City Environmental Protection Bureau Liu Xiaodong visited the local government hotline, and Zhenjiang taxi drivers complained that the exhaust gas was difficult to detect. Liu made a promise to reply in the afternoon, but he did not reply.

Qin Yadong, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection, said after learning of the matter, "I feel very heavy." As for the non-standard and abnormal behaviors of testing organizations, he said that according to the requirements of marketization, socialization, and reform, these testing institutions are all social testing agencies and must be screened through tendering procedures before they can undertake inspection tasks. "Entry, withdrawal, personnel skills and quality are all required." After entering, the environmental protection department will check whether each inspection station is in compliance with the technical specifications. "Equipment is calibrated every year. The deadline for rectification of written problems will be rectified and the deadline will be punished according to relevant regulations." At the same time, it will also supervise whether the inspection personnel perform their inspection tasks strictly in accordance with professional standards. For example, he said that the environmental protection department in Nanjing discovered that a certain staff member had such a situation. On the above issues of Zhenjiang, Qin Yadong said that it will hold a special meeting to propose practical and feasible rectification measures. The Zhenjiang Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau must give a reply, and the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency will also strengthen supervision.
