The main problem is that there are many kinds of products, and they are not closely related to social needs. Some of them still have cross-repetition problems, and the differences and characteristics between products are not obvious. The adjusted agrometeorological service products include agro-meteorological weekly report, agro-meteorological monthly report, domestic crop yield forecast, crop yield forecast in the world's major grain-producing areas, and agro-meteorological impact forecasting and assessment.

In 2017, the Meteorological Service of China Meteorological Administration will focus on strengthening the services of agro-meteorological services, national grain and oil crop yield forecasting, and ecological security guarantees at the key time nodes of Chuntengchun, “Sanxia” and “Sanqiu”, and launching global agro-meteorological monitoring and crop yields. Estimated products provide decision-making information for ensuring national food security and import and export trade decisions. At the same time, we will increase efforts in two aspects to improve service levels. First, expand the special services for large-scale agriculture-related state-owned enterprises and insurance companies; second, vigorously develop smart agricultural meteorology, and further enhance the level and ability of smart weather services for agriculture, rural areas and farmers. In 2016, the meteorological department actively promoted the application of smart weather in modern agriculture, and established a “straight-through” model for agricultural services. The number of registered users of service terminals reached more than 2.3 million, covering 1326 counties in 277 cities. The township coverage rate of meteorological information stations in poverty-stricken areas reached 90%. Based on the smart weather for the agricultural service mobile APP, using the mobile phone's positioning system, the relevant meteorological service information can be obtained in a random field. The service accuracy can be within 10 km, and the later will gradually advance to 5 km. Further improve the level of service refinement.
