At present, the source of leakage has been eliminated and the responsibility for accidents will be severely dealt with in accordance with relevant regulations.

The person in charge of the emergency department of the EPA said that the main leaks were hydrogen sulfide and sulfides; this substance would cause human body sensory discomfort at lower concentrations, but short-term exposure will not affect the human body, and also affect soil, air, etc. It will not have much impact.

On November 23, 2010, residents in Pudong, Yangpu, Hongkou and other areas once smelled pungent odors in the air. After investigation, the odor also originated from Takahashi Petrochemical and the relevant authorities imposed a fine of 200,000 yuan on it.
