A Ford Motor Co. spokesperson said that a paint material called “Xirallic” has been supplied by a Japanese supplier, which is an important part of black and red paint. At present, Ford is looking for other sources of supply.

DuPont's survey report shows that in 2010, sales of cars accounted for 26% of silver cars, black cars accounted for 24%. Black is the most popular car color after silver.
