The Ministry of Agriculture recently reported the third inspection of pesticides in 2011. The spot check was conducted by the agricultural administrative departments of 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) including Beijing, Hebei and Shanxi. A total of 2686 pesticide labels and 2633 pesticide samples were examined. The spot check results showed that the qualified rate of pesticide products was 88.1% and the product labeling pass rate was 82.7%. A total of 1685 insecticides, 536 fungicides and 400 herbicides were spot-checked, of which the qualified rate of pesticides was 87.1%, the qualified rate of fungicides was 87.9%, and the highest qualified rate of herbicides was 92.3%. .
