Wellington, New Zealand deepens the promotion of LED lighting replacement

Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, plans to replace urban lighting more deeply, with the goal of halving lighting costs and potentially saving around $2 million a year. At present, Wellington has installed smart LED street lights in areas such as CourtneyPlace, and has also piloted LED lighting in some areas of the suburbs. Wellington's municipal spokesperson Paul Gleni said taxpayers will be able to benefit directly from the savings they have made.
