During the implementation of the project, the project team effectively adjusted the material composition optimization, interface design, and damping mechanism to effectively solve the problem of poor mechanical properties, poor corrosion resistance, and higher damping than the phase change temperature zone (>60oC). With the problem of low performance, MnCu alloys with high dynamic interface relaxation structure and high phase transition point were finally designed and prepared. The MnCu alloy developed has comprehensive properties such as corrosion resistance, high toughness, and high damping. Within the allowable service temperature range of the material (60 to 90°C), the damping value of the MnCu alloy increases from the existing 0.01 to 0.03 or more, satisfying the special requirements. The potential requirements for corrosion resistance and high damping performance of materials under operating conditions. Project research provides important reference data for subsequent engineering research.
A detailed report was made on the project research content, research objectives, completion of technical indicators, progress of project research, etc. The experts of the acceptance team reviewed the “report summary report of the key laboratory of reactor fuel and materials†submitted by the project team and “Mn-Cu based "High-damping alloy performance test report" and other documents, and questions on the performance of related materials, control technology, corrosion resistance testing, application background development and follow-up research issues such as questions and discussions. After careful inspection, the acceptance expert group concluded that during the implementation period, the project team successfully completed the project planning task, reached the required technical specifications, achieved the expected goals, and agreed that the project passed the acceptance.
