In childhood, I had thought about using liberties to control something freely, such as a car, but this fantastic idea gradually lost its luster with age. With the abundance of material civilization, the reality of adults is constantly reducing children's childhood dream time. Is it not the mission of adults to reflect and realize their children’s dreams?
A news from Nissan made people once again see the potential of a group of adults who still have dreams. The European Nissan recently announced an epoch-making research project under study—a control system that is controlled through awareness. This project, developed by Nissan in partnership with the EPFL Lausanne Federal Institute of Technology, a famous Swiss polytechnic institution, uses brain-computer interface (BCI) to read brain activity data, combines monitoring of eye movement patterns, and collects environmental data from the car week. Or in-vehicle space environment data to pre-read the driver's intentions, and then achieve the effect of direct control of car movement through the human brain.
This program is taught by Josédel R, professor of brain sciences at EPFL. Millán responsible, he said "through the combination of human consciousness and vehicle-only systems, to reduce operational errors to optimize the future of the car driving environment."
Remarks:
José del R. Millán, he is known as a key figure in BCI brain-computer interface technology. He used to participate in the BCI research and development project of consciousness-controlled robots and brainwave assisted wheelchairs.
The brain-computer interface BCI, which is called Brain-Computer Interface, is also known as DNI or BMI. This is a direct connection between a person's (or animal's) brain and external devices. Brain signals can be sent and received to exchange information between the brain and external devices. Scientists have been studying the brain-computer interface for more than 30 years. Early research projects were mainly used to restore auditory, visual, and physical motor skills. It is a typical, technology derived from science fiction.
